Sarkozy won.

On May 6, in France, the seccond ballot was held, the ballots were counted on the election day, and Nicolas Sarkozy won Royal who had aimed the first woman president in France was elected as president of the France. Though both them aimed slough from the generation of Chirac, people believe the determination and effectiveness of Sarcozy, and expect him to "change" in the future.

People remarked the straight fight between left and right, and the rate of voting was 83.97% which was higher than by about 3% of that of last time. Sarcozy v.s. Royal was 53.06% v.s. 46.94%. It was very close contest, I think. After knowing the win, Sarcozy said, " It is my turn to repay France which gave us everything." Also he said, " I want to take back the identity of our nation. I want to make us proud of being French." On the other hand, for voter who didn't support him, he said, " I want you to understand that I'll become president for all of French." Also he said, " I want to respect the opinion of Royal who was expected by many people." he called integration.

His economic policy is " More work, more earn." And, he reviews a 35-hour week, and manifests relaxation of condition of layoff, makes employment fluid, increases discretion of companies, and so on. So, he manifested support of financial circles.

On the other hand, he manifested reinforcement of regulation of immigrant again and again. Against that, left-wing people reacted, but because of strategy to media, the expectation for him exceeded apprehension.

Though there are many kinds of opinion from left, media, or so, expectation and hope for Sarcozy is much higher than we think.
